This is a text version of the video segment Education Demystifies Transportation Electrification, which aired on Nov. 26, 2024.

IAN BAILLIE: Land of Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition is a U.S. Department of Energy-designated coalition in the Clean Cities and Communities partnership to advance clean transportation nationwide. At Land of Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition, we are passionate about changing hearts and minds about alternative fueling by closing educational gaps. As part of this, we host events to help get people interested and excited about how they can play a role in transportation electrification. For example, our coalition hosted 10 consecutive days of activities for National Drive Electric Week. These activities reached people from local government, the private sector, community agencies, the community college, first responders, and local residents. We increased their knowledge about transportation electrification, busted myths, and raised awareness about our coalition. We needed to do something big to engage new stakeholders, and this was a big undertaking, but we developed new partners so it was definitely worth the effort.
