Coalition Lowers Barriers to Rural Electric Vehicle Adoption (Text Version)
This is a text version of the video segment Coalition Lowers Barriers to Rural Electric Vehicle Adoption, which aired on Nov. 26, 2024.
HEATHER BETTS: North Dakota Clean Cities is a U.S. Department of Energy-designated coalition in the Clean Cities and Communities partnership to advance clean transportation nationwide. At North Dakota Clean Cities, we are committed to creating a more equitable clean transportation future for all communities. People living in rural areas often face limited access to electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. We are working to lower barriers to EV adoption in these areas so they aren’t left behind and can share the benefits of reduced transportation emissions and improved air quality. As part of this work, North Dakota Clean Cities is a proud partner of Electric Nation. Together, we are working to expand access to EVs and charging stations in tribal communities across the Upper Midwest. We are committed to ensuring a just transition to a clean energy economy, and this project is a crucial step in achieving that goal.
