ALEXANDER KOLPAKOV: Tampa Bay Clean Cities Coalition is a U.S. Department of Energy-designated coalition in the Clean Cities and Communities partnership to advance alternative fuel transportation nationwide. At Tampa Bay Clean Cities, we’re working for cleaner air in Florida through electric vehicle deployment. We partnered with Bollinger Motors, a manufacturer of battery-electric medium-duty trucks, on a medium-duty EV ride and drive event to expose drivers to medium-duty EVs. The medium-duty EV market currently presents a growth opportunity in Florida, and the 2-day event helped promote these vehicles to more drivers. Bollinger Motors has received orders for their EVs because of the event, and more EVs on Florida roads means great benefits for residents of the sunshine state.
