U.S. EPA Finalizes Additional Fuel Production Pathways under the RFS2 Program
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized regulations identifying additional renewable fuel production pathways and pathway components that meet the necessary lifecycle greenhouse gas reduction requirements and can, therefore, be used in producing qualifying renewable fuel under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS2) program. The updated regulations include biofuels produced from camelina oil and energy cane, as well as renewable gasoline and renewable gasoline blendstock made from certain feedstocks.
