Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Study
Archived: 10/01/2013
In October 2013, the Climate Legislative and Executive Workgroup finalized a report, Evaluation of Approaches to Reduce GHG Emissions in Washington State, for the governor. The report evaluates strategies for the state to reduce its GHG emissions and makes recommendations. The evaluation includes a review of state policies to stabilize or reduce GHG emissions, including converting public vehicles to alternative fuels and public alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) acquisition requirements. Potential strategies evaluated include increasing the state renewable fuel standard, as well as implementing a state low carbon fuel standard, zero emission vehicle goal, additional production of biofuels and feedstocks, or AFV incentives.
