Medium- and Heavy-Duty (MHD) Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Voucher Program

The New Jersey Zero Emission Incentive Program (NJ ZIP) will pilot a voucher program for the purchase of new MHD ZEVs registered in New Jersey. Eligible applicants include commercial, industrial, or institutional organizations. Phase 3 funding in 2025 offers vouchers based on gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR):

33,001+ lbs. Class 8 $175,000

Some business and vehicle types are eligible for stackable bonus amounts. Applicants may receive a maximum of $3,000,000 in vouchers per funding phase. Vehicles must be purchased through qualified vendors. Funding is set aside, with conditions, for applicants with vehicles domiciled in overburdened communities.
