Heavy-Duty Vehicle Hydrogen Use Tax Credit

Taxpayers may receive a tax credit of up to $1 per kilogram for the use of clean hydrogen in qualifying applications, including heavy-duty vehicles. used for a qualified use if they obtain a tax credit certificate from the Colorado Energy Office. To be eligible, taxpayers must obtain a tax credit certificate from the Colorado Energy Office. Clean hydrogen is defined as hydrogen that is derived from a clean energy resource or uses water as the source of the hydrogen.
