Underground Storage Tank Compatibility for High-Blend Biofuels

Owners and operators of underground storage tanks for high-blend biofuels must document underground storage tank system compatibility before storing or dispensing gasoline blends greater than 10% ethanol or diesel blends greater than 20% biodiesel. Illinois requires a blended fuel compatibility filing and allows agencies to request documentation at least 30 days before a fuel switch.
