Electric Vehicle (EV) Parking Space Regulation

Individuals may not park a non EV in a designated EV space or park any vehicle in an EV charging space unless it is actively charging. Violators are subject to a $50–$100 fine plus court costs and an additional $50 state reserved parking space enforcement fine. Additional details apply.

Counties may adopt ordinances to enforce EV charging space requirements, including maintaining EV charging systems in working order, and county officials may enter places of public accommodation to enforce such ordinances.
