Legislative Session Information

The Minnesota Legislature meets from January to mid-May in odd numbered years and from February through April in even numbered years. During the session, the governor must sign or veto legislation within three days after transmittal (except Sundays) or it becomes law without signature. The governor must act on legislation passed during the last three days of the session within 14 days of session adjournment or it is automatically pocket vetoed.
