This chart shows the fuel taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries. Switzerland, Iceland, Mexico, and the United States are the only countries with higher taxes on diesel than gasoline. In general, European countries tend to tax petroleum fuels at the highest level globally.
