This graph shows imported renewable diesel fuel volumes. Renewable diesel meets the same fuel quality specification as petroleum diesel (ASTM D975) and can be used in existing diesel engines and refueling infrastructure. The majority of imported fuel is from Neste's facility in Singapore. Imports and domestic production continue to increase. The fuel is used primarily in California because of economic benefits provided under the Low Carbon Fuel Standard.
